This page is a continuation of How to assemble a universal joint [Tutorial] – Page 2.

Step 7 – Inserting the second pin (Pin B):

This step is similar to step 3 of this article. In this step, the second pin (Pin B) is inserted into Hole B as shown in the image below.

Step 8 – Placing the second collar (Collar B):

Once pin B is inserted, the second collar of the universal joint (Collar B) is placed around pin B in such a manner that the tapered holes of Collar B and Pin B are correctly aligned with respect to each other. Refer the image below for a clear understanding.

Step 9 – Inserting the second taper pin (Taper Pin B):

The positions of Pin B and Collar B have to be secured. Taper Pin B is inserted into the tapered holes of the collar B and pin B for this purpose.
