Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is a numerical method used for solving boundary value problems.
In Finite Element Analysis, a body is subdivided into several small components called finite elements. Elements are connected with each other by joints called nodes. The solution of each element is found out and assembled together to find the solution of the entire body.
@sankar Analysis is different from application. If I have to tell roughly, analysis is the process of finding the properties of a material while application is the process of applying the material for practical purposes.
