    what is meant by static and dynamic indentation in brinell hardness test

    I think it is in reference to strain rate. Higher strain rate refers to dynamic loading and vice versa.

    As the name implies, static and dynamic indentation refer to the fixed and changeable spherical size of the ball respectively by the application of the force.
